PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR RESERVED DATE!
When you sign up for a workshop, you will receive confirmation by e-mail. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you agree to double check your confirmation to ensure that the dates for the workshop you have reserved are correct. If you have made an error and reserved the wrong dates by accident, please immediately contact Lucy to alert her to this error: it is easily fixed if you tell her right away.
MINIMUM PARTICIPATION for CLASSES to TAKE PLACE
Plum's 5-Day Immersive Program has no minimum participant requirement. It will run with even one participant.
Although it is quite rare, from time to time, our regularly-scheduled Market Table or French Pastry classes will not achieve our minimum number of 4 participants. If this happens, an effort will be made to find another suitable class convenient to your availability. If a suitable replacement date cannot be found, you will receive a full refund.
Pricing for the privatisation of our workshops is based on a 4 person minimum.
THIRD-PARTY RESERVATIONS
For specific legal reasons, we do not allow Plum's classes to be sold or re-sold as a product or part of a tour package by a third party. If a reservation is made as a group, the person making the reservation must accompany the group. Agreeing to these terms and conditions, you confirm that you are not making a third-party reservation.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We understand that sometimes plans change. Since Plum Lyon's workshops often have waiting-lists and every effort is made to fill the spot should you need to cancel, there's actually a good chance we can find someone to fill your spot from our waiting lists.
Plum's 5-day Immersive Program: If you cancel a fully paid 5-day workshop more than 30 days before the program start date, you will receive a full refund. If a cancellation occurs less than 30 days before a 5-day Immersive Workshop, we will always consult the waiting list and do everything we can to fill your spot. If we are able to fill the spot you are holding, we will provide you with a refund.
Early Reserve Deposits: If you reserve your spot early with a 30% deposit, that amount secures your place and is applied to the final balance of the workshop. Full Payment is due 8 weeks before the start date of your 5-day workshop. By placing your deposit, you are blocking one of a small number of available spots. Please let us know immediately should your plans change. If a workshop is sold out, and you have held a spot with a deposit for more than 30 days, we cannot provide a refund for your deposit if we cannot fill your spot from the waiting list.
Bank Fees: Please note that bank fees associated with processing your payment are not refundable. Any refund issued will be for the net amount received by Plum, which is up to 5% less than the amount you originally paid, due to transaction fees that cannot be recuperated.
No-shows and last-minute cancellations: If your plans change, please make sure to contact Plum, otherwise your spot is blocked and cannot be filled by anyone else. Even if it is last minute, please contact us. Under no circumstances will we provide a refund to no-shows, or for a cancellation less than the number of days mentioned above if we cannot find a replacement for you.
Please be advised that Plum cannot absorb any fees or exchange lost though the refund process. We cannot be held accountable for external circumstances or events beyond our control.
DIETARY RESTRICTIONS AND SENSITIVITIES
Dietary restrictions, food allergies and sensitivites are handled on a case-by-case basis through direct contact by e-mail with Lucy at Plum Lyon before you register for a group class. Do not wait until after you have signed up to inform us of an allergy or dietary restriction, including vegetarian, pescatarian, or allergies or sensitivites due to medical conditions.
If you inform us in advance, we can often develop strategies to allow you to enjoy what we are preparing through alternatives in plating, choices at service, or in some cases substitutions if it will not disrupt the flow of class. In agreeing to these terms and conditions, you agree that you will discuss any dietary restriction you have with Lucy prior to signing up for class to find out if your needs can be met on a given class day.
Please note: If you have life-threatening or severe allergies or a medically imposed elimination diet, please do not sign up for a group workshop - instead inquire about the availability of a private workshop. This way we can take the measures necessary to meet your specific needs, and still do a great class for you.
COMMUNICABLE ILLNESS AND COOKING CLASSES
Please show common sense if you are experiencing symptoms of communicable illness. For everyone’s safety, guests with respiratory, cold or flu-like symptoms, persistent cough, fever, sore throat, or antibiotic resistant respiratory illness may, at our discretion, be refused participation or required to provide medical clearance. Non-compliance or symptomatic attendance may result in removal without refund.
