PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR RESERVED DATE!

When you sign up for a class, you will receive confirmation by e-mail.  By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you agree to double check your confirmation to ensure that the date for the class you have reserved is correct.  If you have made an error and reserved the wrong date by accident, please immediately contact Lucy to alert her to this error: it is easily fixed if you tell her right away.

TIMELY ARRIVAL

Classes are held at the Plum Lyon Teaching Kitchen, located at 49 rue des Tables Claudiennes, 69001 Lyon, France. The Market Table classes often begin at the market.  We will share any information with you by e-mail on the meeting place for a Market Table Class during the week before your class. The French Pastry Workshops begin directly in the kitchen. We open the kitchen ten minutes prior to the beginning of a French Pastry Workshop. We ask that you do everything you can to arrive to class on time. If you meet a delay and will be arriving more than 10 minutes late for a Market Table Class or a French Pastry Workshop, please contact the Teaching Kitchen.

MINIMUM PARTICIPATION for CLASSES to TAKE PLACE

Plum's 5-Day Immersive Program has no minimum participant requirement. It will run with even one participant.

Although it is quite rare, from time to time, our regularly-scheduled Market Table or French Pastry classes will not achieve our minimum number of 4 participants.  If this happens, an effort will be made to find another suitable class convenient to your availability.  If a suitable replacement date cannot be found, you will receive a full refund.

Pricing for the privatization of our workshops is based on a 4 person minimum.

THIRD-PARTY RESERVATIONS

For specific legal reasons, we do not allow Plum's classes to be sold or re-sold as your own product or part of a tour package by a third party.  If a reservation is made as a group, the person making the reservation must accompany the group.  Agreeing to these terms and conditions, you confirm that you are not making a third-party reservation.

DIETARY RESTRICTIONS AND SENSITIVITIES

Dietary restrictions, food allergies and sensitivites are handled on a case-by-case basis through direct contact by e-mail with Lucy at Plum Lyon before you register for a group class.  Do not wait until after you have signed up to inform us of an allergy or dietary restriction, including vegetarian, pescatarian, or allergies or sensitivites due to medical conditions.

If you inform us in advance, we can often develop strategies to allow you to enjoy what we are preparing through alternatives in plating, choices at service, or in some cases, substitutions, if it will not disrupt the flow of class.  In agreeing to these terms and conditions, you agree that you will discuss any dietary restriction you have with Lucy prior to signing up for class to find out if your needs can be met on a given class day.

Please note:  If you have life-threatening or severe allergies or a medically imposed elimination diet, please do not sign up for a group class - instead inquire about the availability of a private class.  This way we can take the measures necessary to meet your specific needs, and still do a great class for you.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We understand that sometimes plans change. Since Plum Lyon's workshops often have waiting-lists and every effort is made to fill the spot should you need to cancel, there's actually a good chance we can find someone to fill your spot if you need to cancel.

Cancellations for Plum's regularly scheduled Market Table Classes & French Pastry Workshops over 15 days out are always accomodated with a refund.

Plum's 5-day Immersive Program:  If you cancel a fully paid 5-day workshop more than 30 days before the program start date, you will receive a full refund, minus any non-refundable early-reserve deposit (see below).

Early Reserve Deposits: If you reserve your spot early with a 30% deposit, that amount secures your place and is applied to the final balance of the workshop.  However, this deposit is non-refundable in all cases.  By reserving with a deposit, you confirm your acceptance of this non-refundable policy, even in the case of cancellation.

If a cancellation occurs less than 30 days before a 5-day Immersive Workshop, or less than 15 days before a Market Table Class or Pastry Workshop, we will always consult the waiting list and do everything we can to fill your spot.  If we are able to replace your spot, you will receive a refund as outlined above.

Bank Fees:  Please note that bank fees associated with processing your payment are not refundable.
Any refund issued will be for the net amount received by Plum, which may be up to 5% less than the amount you originally paid, due to transaction fees that cannot be recuperated.

Private Classes:  When we schedule a private class, we block time on our teaching calendar that is no longer available in the calendar for other classes. For this reason, cancellations less than 60 days in advance of a private class are not refundable.

No-shows and last-minute cancellations:  If your plans change, please make sure to contact Plum, otherwise your spot is blocked and cannot be filled by anyone else.  Even if it is last minute, please contact us.  Under no circumstances will we provide a refund to no-shows, or for a cancellation less than the number of days mentioned above if we cannot find a replacement for you.

Please be advised that Plum cannot absorb any fees or exchange lost though the refund process.  We cannot refund early reserve deposits, nor can we be held accountable for external circumstances or events beyond our control.
