TIMELY ARRIVAL

Classes are held at the Plum Lyon Teaching Kitchen, located at 49 rue des Tables Claudiennes, 69001 Lyon, France. The Market Table classes begin at 9:00 a.m., and the French Pastry classes begin at 1:00 p.m. We open the kitchen ten minutes prior to the beginning of class. We ask that you do everything you can to arrive on time. If you meet a delay and will be arriving more than 10 minutes late for a Market Table Class, please contact the Teaching Kitchen to arrange to catch up with the group.

MINIMUM PARTICIPATION for CLASSES to TAKE PLACE

Although it is quite rare, from time to time, our regularly-scheduled cooking classes will not achieve our minimum number of 2 participants.  If this happens, an effort will be made to find another suitable class convenient to your availability.  If a suitable replacement date cannot be found, you will receive a full refund.

THIRD-PARTY RESERVATIONS

For specific legal reasons, we do not allow Plum's classes to be sold or re-sold as a product or part of a tour package by a third party, tour operator, or travel agency.  If a reservation is made as a group, the person making the reservation must be in the group. Agreeing to these terms and conditions, you confirm that you are not a travel agent making a business oriented third-party reservation.

DIETARY RESTRICTIONS AND SENSITIVITIES

Dietary restrictions, food allergies and sensitivites are handled on a case-by-case basis through direct contact by e-mail with Lucy at Plum Lyon before you register for a class. They are generally accommodated through alternatives with plating.  As we are learning technique with classic recipes, French Pastry workshops cannot eliminate or make alternate versions to replace sugar, milk products or wheat flour.  We may accommodate vegetarian or selective meat requests in Market Table classes with the understanding that these choices may be prepared in class and presented to other guests at the table.  Please note:  If you have life-threatening or severe allergies or a medically imposed elimination diet, please do not sign up for a group class and instead inquire about the availability of a private class.  This way we can take the measures necessary to meet your specific needs - and still do a great class for you.

IMPORTANT COVID SAFETY NOTICE

Plum Lyon Teaching Kitchen is making every effort to ensure that our classes are as safe as possible, including systematic antigen tests by the instructor on the day before each class. Registration for a class implies that should your instructor test positive for COVID before class, the class will immediately be cancelled in accordance with French laws and regulations, and you will be provided with a full refund.

Despite our diligent adherence to strict hygiene in class ensuring our maximum efforts to stop COVID transmission, we cannot guarantee zero risk of Covid transmission.  Other participants in class, each with their own individual international travel itineraries, may be contact cases, unknown to them.  Our only way to stop transmission is canceling should the instructor test positive.  By continuing with your booking, you agree to assume the inherent risks with such a registration, and agree that Plum Lyon cannot be held responsible for any losses you may incur in the case of last minute cancellation or contact case transmission from other students.

Our policy is designed to protect the health of our students, your loved ones and ours, and helps us continue providing our classes with minimum risk of interruption. We are very grateful for your cooperation, and look forward to welcoming you!

CANCELLATION POLICY

We understand that sometimes plans change. Since Plum Lyon's classes often have waiting-lists and every effort is made to fill the spot should you need to cancel, there's actually a good chance we can find someone to fill your spot if you need to cancel less than a month out.

Cancellations over one month out are accomodated with a refund.  If a cancellation takes place less than a month before your class, we will first consult the waiting list for the class.  If there is a waiting list, and we are able to find a replacement, you will receive a full refund as above.

No-shows:  Under no circumstances will we accomodate no-shows with a refund.

COVID Cancellation Policy : We guarantee 100% refund of your payment if Plum Lyon Teaching Kitchen is closed because of a COVID-19 contact case requiring isolation by your instructor or public health emergency that results in government-imposed closure of our establishment.  If you test positive for COVID in the days preceding your class, please contact us and we will work with you to make suitable arrangements for a make-up class or refund.

Please be advised that Plum cannot absorb any fees or exchange lost though the refund process, nor can we be held accountable for circumstances or events beyond our responsibility.

Thanks for your kind understanding.  If you have questions, please contact us through this website.
