This private workshop for couples or families is designed to interweave central elements of French pastry and culinary: an afternoon French Pastry Workshop followed by a full day Market Table Class. The course is designed to first execute classic French pastry, and take elements of the first day's technique to roll it into a savory application during a full day Market Table Class.

Example:

Day one: Croissants and Puff Pastry.
Day two: La Cuisine du Marché, making use of the puff pastry from the day before in a savory application.

Day one: French Vintage, Les Religieuses or Paris Brest.
Day two: La Cuisine du Marché, making use of the Choux pastry from the day before in a savory application.

Work with Lucy to find the perfect balance of visits and cooking over two days, based not only on your desires to master basic technique in French pastry, but to make the most of Lyon's local seasonal produce during a Market Table Class. About Plum Lyon: The Plum Lyon Kitchen welcomes you to come and cook in Lyon, the gastronomic capital of France. Located in the ancient silk-worker's district on the hill of the Croix Rousse, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Plum Lyon Teaching Kitchen is offering week-long immersive programs, seasonal market classes, classic French cooking, children's workshops in English, and single subject ateliers that cover a chosen technique or theme in French cuisine. We accommodate a maximum of 6-8 students per class. There is plenty of opportunity for hands-on learning in our classes.
